Greeting friends of the garden. We are excited about the 2017 gardening season.
Our objectives remain the same...to provide farm fresh vegetables grown in an inclusive urban environment through community supported agriculture (CSA). And we need your involvement! You can help in any of the following ways:
1. Join the CSA. The cost this year is $275 for 12 weeks. We are planning on non-consecutive weeks so we can provide bags when the harvest is best...including the early asparagus! Respond to this email today to secure your spot!!
2. Make a donation. Our programs for mentally and physically disabled teens and adults, our donations to community food banks, our irrigation, machinery, compost, tools and construction materials are funded 100% by donations.
3. Recommend a family or organization in charitable need of fresh vegetables.
4. Volunteer in the garden:
Regular gardening hours are Wednesday and Saturday mornings 9 - 12.
We need diggers, composters, weeders, sorters, planters and supervisors. All ages and abilities welcome! You will find community here...and often coffee and donuts! Even if you just stand around and visit, your time in the garden will be well spent.
We also need volunteers to supervise groups of persons with disabilities at various times throughout the week.
